Adopt-A-Village
Life in Arctic Alaska is, in many cases, that of a third world country. AMA volunteers are living out what it means to have a new identity by adopting Native communities into the family of Christ. With your support of the Adopt-A-Village program, we can continue to reach these village or grow God’s work into new communities.
Communities are structured as “hubs”, centralized, larger towns that support smaller surrounding villages. Villagers travel to the hub for medical needs. Our hub villages are centers of influence that provide mental, emotional & spiritual support for those same villages. Because AMA is 100% donor supported, the Adopt-A-Village program was introduced in 2019 to bring support to specific villages in the AMA family.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. Bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Third Angels Message to those who need the hope of salvation and a future with God.
2. Partner with individuals, churches and schools across the nation to financially and spiritually support the placement of a church planting pastor or Bible worker in bush Alaska.
3. Build church support equipping AMA with the ability to initiate outreach to kids through day camps, vacation Bible school, and after-school programs.
4. Aid those in need of food, clothing and safe space.
HOW ADOPT A VILLAGE WORKS
Individuals, groups and churches that decide to “adopt a village” should prayerfully consider which village to support. When you are ready to move forward, follow these steps:
1. Prayerfully decide on the amount of support for a year or longer (can be the total amount needed by the village or a portion of it).
2. Next decide how the financial support will be given, fill out the application on the last page and email, fax or snail mail the form to:
